My Initial thoughts to the mumbai terrorists attacks was that of fear as my dad was on Delhi-Mumbai Shatabdi express and was slated to reach mumbai on 27th morning(incidentaly also my mom-dad's wedding anniversary).I had just come back from office and turned on the news when I witnessed this carnage taking place on the well lit streets of Mumbai.I immediately called up my dad and checked on him if he is alright and also asked him to be alert once he reached Mumbai.Once my personal selfishness about my dad was over I cared to think about the people who were facing this and had already died at the hands of the inhuman terrorists.
My dad's exhibition got cancelled and he came back on the 28th by a GoAir flight.
What disturbs me at this moment(a good 10 days after the attacks) is that we still dont have a clear idea as to what action is going to be taken against the people who were behind these attacks. Are we dependant on what a certain western country decides? Are we incapable of taking decisive action against the terror groups?Do we still think only peaceful talks is the way forward?
Why hasn't anybdy from the government come out clearly on India's stance and reassured us that this time they cant go away just like that after attacking our Financial capital?
Its time for channeling this anger into some concrete action and that doesnt mean killing innocent citizens of a certain country but the terror groups who actually did this.Whether they were hands in glove with thier government is another issue which can be investigated later.
Time to Finish this from the roots so that another 26/11 doesnt happen anywhere in the world!
